The journey from the golden wheat fields of the Midwest to the coconut palms of South Florida has been an interesting and rewarding one for Darrin L. Frye, MD. Beginning his career in the operating rooms of Beverly Hills, he moved to the chaos of emergency medicine across Kansas and Missouri, and then pioneered a preventive medicine practice in Palm Beach, FL. As a philanthropist, Dr. Frye has worked with the children of the Sub-Saharan Africa through the iSight Project to which he serves as a founding partner and Medical Director. The project works tirelessly to lessen the impact of malnourishment and vitamin & mineral deficiencies children who already face many obstacles in their lives.
Dr. Frye earned his BGS in Human Biology, and his MD degrees (1983, 1990) from the University of Kansas. He received his MPH from Florida International University in 1998.
